Save money on your bills
The battery monitors your electricity tariff and knows the best times every day to fill up with cheap off-peak energy, then gives it back during peak hours.
Cleaner energy - halve your CO₂
As well as saving money on your bills, the Windfall Battery powers your home with cleaner energy by tapping into the grid when renewables are at their peak.
Simple delivery & installation
Other home batteries need complicated and expensive installation and setup. The Windfall Battery is delivered to your doorstep and can be up and running in minutes.
Emergency power backup
If there’s ever a power cut, the Windfall Battery will ensure that your phone, internet and other key devices can be kept going.
A home battery that looks great in any home
How it Works
01
Unpack the battery and plug it into a standard mains socket in your home.
02
Connect the battery to the internet and tell it what energy tariff you have.
03
The battery automatically optimises to save you money from day one.
The battery knows your energy tariff and constantly monitors the price of your energy and how green the grid is.
Then at off-peak times it will charge up with the cheapest electricity, which in the UK is nearly always the greenest too.
And in the peak times when you need energy for cooking and watching telly, that cheap energy is put back into your home.
“You just plug it in, there’s no crazy setup that you have to go through and you’re helping the planet so it’s win-win.”
“I’m renting in a flat and there’s nothing for me. It seems a bit crazy, it’s just plugged into the wall. The size is good because you can sit under your desk somewhere.”
“This sounds like a fantastic fit for my small flat. The size of battery is brilliant.”

-
You can put the battery almost anywhere in your home. You’ll just need access to a spare mains socket and to be in range of your WiFi.
You don’t need to have your battery near to things you want to power from it. The battery puts power back into the main supply in your home so any appliance or device can take energy from it.
There are some additional guidelines about not installing batteries in bedrooms or where they would block a fire escape, and we can provide further guidance on this when your battery is ready to ship.
If you have any other questions about the battery, or about Windfall Energy, please feel free to get in touch.
